What we verify
For product analysis, we may record fields including:

- price at the time checked;
- normalized cost per useful unit;
- declared certifications;
- third-party testing claims;
- accessible verification records.
Normalized comparisons
Package size and serving conventions can make similar products difficult to compare.
Where useful, Bextera normalizes specifications into measures such as:
- cost per gram of creatine;
- cost per 100 mg elemental magnesium;
- cost per 25 g protein;
- EPA plus DHA per serving;
- vitamin D expressed in both micrograms and IU.
The normalization method should be visible rather than hidden behind an unexplained score.
Third-party testing
The phrase “third-party tested” is not automatically treated as proof of independent verification.
Where possible, we look for supporting information such as:
- the testing or certification organization;
- an accessible certification record;
- a laboratory report;
- the product or batch covered;
- the date the evidence was checked.
If independent evidence cannot be located, the claim should be described as a manufacturer claim rather than verified testing.
